Hey TLC! Register by April 1st to Make the Most of Food Together!

  • During the seriously fun 9-week action research course starting Monday, April 8, a selected team of 10-12 students will receive virtual training to lead 50 people in taking a 4-week household food waste challenge.

  • In the 4-week challenge, households track a week of data on discarded food. Households then share ideas, take action, and measure results through tracking another week of discarded food data.

  • Participants will participate in (8) online facilitated classes. Participants will submit collected data through the Thinkific course portal.

  • Students who complete the course will have the opportunity to present findings and recommendations to government decision-makers and academics in the food waste field.

  • No previous leadership or research experience is necessary.

  • This course is part of the Make the Most of Food action research project led by Recycle Leaders. The course instructors are Recycle Leaders intern Erin Petersen and Conservation Nation Environmental Educator Carl Brown.
